Peptide Therapy

Peptides are short chains of amino acids. Some peptide medications are FDA-approved for specific uses. Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved, meaning the FDA has not reviewed them for safety, effectiveness or quality, and the FDA has identified certain peptides as raising significant safety concerns for use in compounding.

Is peptide therapy right for me?

Peptide therapy may be discussed at your consultation. Eligibility is determined by your provider after reviewing your history, current medications and lab results. Your provider will explain each option’s regulatory status, possible risks and side effects, and any FDA-approved alternatives.

What to expect

  • During: if a peptide is prescribed, your provider reviews how it is given, dosing and what to watch for.
  • After: follow-up visits to review how you are doing and whether to continue.

More details to come.

Which peptides do we offer?

Peptides your provider may discuss include:

  • BPC-157
Studied for: Tissue repair, tendon and ligament healing, GI health.
Evidence: Primarily animal studies; very limited human evidence.
  • CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin
Studied for: Growth hormone stimulation, muscle maintenance, body composition, recovery.
Evidence: Human hormonal effects demonstrated; anti-aging benefits unproven.
  • GHK-Cu (copper peptide)
Studied for: Skin rejuvenation, collagen production, wound healing, hair health.
Evidence: Some human topical evidence; limited injectable safety data.
  • Epitalon (Epithalon)
Studied for: Telomere biology, cellular aging, sleep regulation, longevity.
Evidence: Preliminary research; no convincing human longevity evidence.
  • MOTS-c
Studied for: Mitochondrial function, metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, exercise performance.
Evidence: Promising preclinical research; insufficient human efficacy data.

Your provider can explain which peptide therapies, if any, may be appropriate for you.

None of these peptides is FDA-approved for these uses. They are compounded medications. BPC-157 is covered by an interim HHS 503A enforcement-discretion policy (FR 2026-22192, publishing Oct 30, 2026); that policy is not FDA approval, does not cover 503B, and can be withdrawn.
